Steve and Sons Bakery, Restaurant and Caterers, well known for quality customer satisfaction and quality food, began as a boyhood dream of Steven Hunte. In 1979, Steve received a gift from God when this dream became a reality. He opened a family-owned bakery at 1103 Church Ave in Brooklyn, NY, which stood out as the place to find mouth-watering fine baked goods that satisfied the needs of the community.

In 1985, the bakery outgrew its 1103 Church Avenue location and relocated to its present location at 9305 Church Ave.

Mr. Hunte or "Bossman", as he is sometimes called by his employees, is an international chef who has worked in some of the finest restaurants in New York City. He serves a variety of cultural dishes at his establishment.

For breakfast, West Indian style, you can sample his sumptuous codfish and fried bakes, ackee codfish with banana and dumpling, or if you prefer a traditional American breakfast you can have a hearty serving of pancakes, corned beef hash, or a cheese omelets. There are many other tasty items on the menu to help you start your day, all served with juice, coffee, or tea.

For the main meals such as lunch or dinner, there are many choices of appetizing foods. Meat dishes include curry goat, barbecue beef ribs, liver steak and oxtail; An array of chicken dishes are on the menu whether you prefer your chicken jerked, roasted, fried or curried; When it comes to seafood you will find yourself feasting on varieties such as stewed fish, callaloo cod fish, escovitch fish and red snapper. Over the years, Steve recognized the growing need for a vegetarian menu and thus invented various vegetarian delicacies. These delicacies include his trademark Veggie Patties, along with vegetarian barbecue ribs, cutlet parmigiana and curry goat, just to name a few. Baked ziti and eggplant parmigiana are present for you pasta lovers as well.

Mr. Hunte has received several awards and recognitions for his culinary arts and restaurant. Recently, he received a citation, from the Brooklyn Borough President's office, for being one of the best Mom and Pop Restaurants.
